چکیده
Objective To identify serum proteins associated with MS and affected by interferon beta treatment. Methods Plasma samples from 29 untreated relapsing-remitting patients 15 healthy controls were investigated a multiplexed panel containing 92 related to inflammation. Follow-up available 13 at 1 3 months after initiation of treatment beta-1a. Results Ten differentially expressed in patients. Five these altered IFN-β 1a: uPA, CX3CL1, CCL2, TRAIL IL18. Conclusion CCL2 confirmed be modulated MS. As novel findings, we now report that uPA CX3CL1 increased IFN-beta-1a Conflicting results have been reported on how affects IL-18.

Thrombin-induced expression of endothelial CX3CL1 potentiates monocyte CCL2 production and transendothelial migration.
CX3CL1 (fractalkine, neurotactin) is the sole CX3C chemokine. It induces monocyte locomotion in its cleaved form, but in its membrane-anchored form, it also acts as an adhesion molecule. The expression of CX3CL1 is up-regulated in endothelial cells by proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1 or TNF-alpha. Here, we studied the effect of the serine protease thrombin on endothelial CX3CL1 induction ...

Twenty patients with intracranial hematoma (ICH or IVH) were treated with direct infusion of urokinase through a catheter. Reduction of hematoma volume was observed within a few days. Twelve patients showed good or excellent outcome. No infection or rebleeding was observed.
متن کاملCX3CL1/CX3CR1 and CCL2/CCR2 Chemokine/Chemokine Receptor Complex in Patients with AMD
PURPOSE The chemokine receptors CX3CR1 and CCR2 have been implicated in the development of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The evidence is mainly derived from experimental cell studies and murine models of AMD. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between expression of CX3CR1 and CCR2 on different leukocyte subsets and AMD. Furthermore we measured the plasma leve...
متن کاملReovirus-induced apoptosis is mediated by TRAIL.
Members of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily and their activating ligands transmit apoptotic signals in a variety of systems. We now show that the binding of TNF-related, apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) to its cellular receptors DR5 (TRAILR2) and DR4 (TRAILR1) mediates reovirus-induced apoptosis. Anti-TRAIL antibody and soluble TRAIL receptors block reovirus-induced apoptos...
